This week's guest speaker was Joy Matsuura of Center for Tomorrow's Leaders where she is Student Leadership Facilitator for Hawaii island.  She was born and raised in Hilo, a graduate of Hilo High School and has three children. She is excited to work with the Center For Tomorrow's Leaders, because of her love and passion to see Hawaii's keiki to strive and accomplish educational and life goals that will bring our 'aina to a brighter future.

In her presentation she talked about MICEE: 5 leadership practices for youth

M - model the way: leaders are role models

I - inspire a shared vision: leaders are visionaries

C - challenge the process: leaders are innovators, they must
overcome challenges and communicate with the team

E - empower others to act: leaders are influences

E - encourage the heart: leaders are encouragers whom
encourage and celebrate the good in others
