Pledge of Allegiance -- Led by Mike Carroll

Inspiration -- Richard Cunningham

Richard noted that he was casting shadows and realized that his shadow didn't look any different from his 18-year old self.  He assessed how he was feeling and he didn't feel any different from being 18 years old.  He's wondering where the last 52 years went.

Announcements, Director / Committee Chair report

HRYF - Richard Cunningham

Through the month of September, you can go to any Foodland/SackNSave and make a donation of up to $249 using your Maikai card to HRYF.  Code number is 77199 and if you don't have it with you, you can look it up on the Give Aloha list under Oahu organizations.  For every dollar donated, Foodland/SackNSave and Western Union will match by about 20%.  Give a copy of your receipt to Richard C. for recognition and to have your name entered in for a wood masterpiece (still TBD) by Richard.

Other Chair Announcements

Curt S. had to leave the meeting, but sent this email afterwards regarding participation in a Global Grant Presentation by District 5000:

Chester and I participated in the subject presentation.

Points:

1. I'll need to access the District 5000 website to download  the presentation for more of the details;

2. There are several million $ projects dealing with large hospital outfittings;

3. Got the impression that multiple sister clubs sponsoring a project is encouraged (something we can entertain);

4. Addressing environmental issues via projects was mentioned towards the end.

If you have questions, please contact Curt S.
