The meeting of July 30, 2025, was canceled due to the tsunami warning. However, there was some overlooked activity that needed reporting - KauKau 4 Keiki.
“Mahalo for the funds from Vibrant Hawaii, to buy food. Rotary Club of Hilo Bay's Bryan Lindsey, Tim Hansen and Anita Cunningham, along with other Rotarians and community minded folks, volunteered and helped pack 800 bags of groceries and 400 bags of fruit a week, over 4 weeks, equaling Keiki fed, in July, with food for a month.”
Once school is out, we seldom think about the students who received free breakfasts and lunches during the school year. Vibrant Hawaii did not forget. RCHB members joined RCSH members and other volunteers to ensure that students did not go hungry during the summer break.
